Dr. Bob and Cathy Fortney (married since 1984)

Dr. Bob grew up on two cattle farms where he and his brother were the migrant workers. Bob graduated from University of Missouri in 1974 with a BA in zoology and 1979 with a DVM degree. Upon enduring two horrible winters in a thin skinned mobile home, he opted for the sunny warmer weather in Las Vegas, NV. Bob and Cathy returned back to Missouri in 1990 and with a partner started Barry Road Animal Hospital.

In 2007, Dr. Fortney had an opportunity to sell his share and contemplate retiring. With a two-year noncompete clause, he taught Microbiology, Zoology, and Medical Terminology at Maple Woods Community College. Missing veterinary practice and still keeping contact with many old friends and clients, Cathy and Bob decided to open a new hospital. On May 2010, they opened Tiffany Hills Animal Hospital.

Both Bob and Cathy have three pets, Ben an old blind English Springer Spaniel, Bandit, an old always-hungry-eat-anything Cocker Spaniel, and Trace, a deaf not completely house broken AKC Champion Cocker Spaniel.

Hobbies for Bob include anything that has to do with electric guitars, landscaping their home, woodworking, and riding his motorcycle.

Hobbies for Cathy include reading, gardening, games, and traveling to California to see her family.
